Tom Dreyer

Tom Dreyer Tom Dreyer is a South-African novelist and poet writing in both English and Afrikaans. His novels include Erdvarkfontein, Stinkafrikaners (awarded the Eugéne Marais Prize in 2001), Equatoria (shortlisted for the M-Net Prize), Dorado (shortlisted for the University of Johannesburg Prize and the KykNet/Rapport Film Prize), and The Long Wave (longlisted for the Sunday Times Literary Prize).

Tom holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Cape Town and is a fellow of the University of Iowa's International Writing Program.

He has been writer-in-residence at universities and institutes across the world, and is represented by Markus Hoffmann of Regal Hoffmann & Associates in New York.

His latest novel, The Long Wave, was published by Penguin Random House in 2016. It is also available in Afrikaans as Dorado
